  • These are great ideas. Most sandwich alternatives seem to just be wraps, so it’s nice to see something different.

  • The best sausage rolls I have ever tasted had very fine grated carrot in them and less spice than normal. That really says something!! I am not a big sausage roll fan. I was even brave enough to ask who made them.

  • Some great ideas there, do prefer some of these as hot. Will try these out as it is not just the children who get sick of sandwiches , it can be the carer making them too.

    • I put sausage rolls in my kids lunch, to keep them warm I wrap them in paper towel then foil wrap, keeps them warm till lunch (1115), don’t know if that helps, hope it does!!

  • My son loves sandwiches, rolls and wraps. He has tried taking leftover fried rice, but prefers something easy where he doesn’t have to return containers etc. to his locker.

  • Wish I’d known about these years ago. My boys took sandwiches or muesli bars.

  • Some great ideas. My kids become quite picky when meals which they normally eat warm are presented cold. They don’t like to eat cold pizza and pies and prefer to eat their quiche hot as well.

  • These all sound wonderful – but do they get through the PC police at the school. My granddaughter was not allowed to ear home made foods in case the person sitting next to her had an allergy.
