Good for any age, the boxes are a good size for my toddler to carry around and snack on.
Overall quality product.

They are a good price for the product. I do prefer to be able to buy a bigger pack and portion them out into plastic containers myself though for environmental reasons. They taste nice and are a good quick snack when on the run.

When I picked my son up from daycare he was hungry and I offered him two choices- a juicy green pear or a green packet of Woolworths select sultanas. He straightaway chose the box of sultanas and consumed 2 x 40g boxes of sultanas and asked for more!
Needless to say he wasn’t impressed when I hid them in the cupboard and told him to wait until tomorrow!
I like the convenient sizes of the boxes as they are just right for small hands or even myself to snack on as they are nice sized portions. Handy to just pack and go when living a busy lifestyle. The price isn’t bad for a pre-packaged item and the box is very appealing to children.

Great taste, not too sweet or dry. I like the size, I can put them in my handbag and know that I am able to give my little one a healthy snack when needed.

After having tried them myself, I must admit, I agree. They were disappointing in flavour as well as in appearance. Each individual sultana was off-putting, slightly discoloured, sugary and dry, rather then juicy. They didn’t leave a very pleasant taste on the palette, either. I was very disappointed considering they cost have the price of the brand I usually buy for my kids. Unfortunately a no go for my family.

also good for cooking and baking as bigger packets usually stay in the cupboard for ages, as no one seems to want to eat them once packet has been opened.

The only thing I don’t like about them is the fact that they’re not in a little plastic bag inside the box, so they taste a little bit cardboardy!

Also had my sisters 3 kids 5.3 and 18 months over and each of her 3 children asked for more so for us the Woolworths select sultanas were a complete hit in this household, they are already on the shopping list .

I was really happy that these sultanas are an Australian product, with no chemicals added. Some sultanas have sulfur added as a preservative which can give babies painful wind. So these got a big tick from me.
Unfortunately the sultanas were crystallized and not as soft and juicy as the premium brand I usually buy, however I buy a premium brand primarily because they are chemical free and Australian. They tasted great and there were not many little stems to get caught in your teeth.
My daughter loved eating the sultanas and happily sat in her high chair eating them for over half an hour – which is wonderful as it gives me a chance to prepare dinner in peace.

My daughter saw the little green box and wanted some straight away. She loved them and ate the whole box, which was a surprise as she usually just eats a handful with other brands. They are very soft and juicy and full of flavour, maybe just a little bit too sweet. Fantastic product and great to see it costs a little less than other big brand names. I would love to see them in bigger boxes though.
The coffee was a great surprise. Thank you!!!
It was very nice and full of flavour. Perfect!

My husband also enjoyed them and snaffled another box for his lunch the next day. He did say he hoped this level of quality was maintained and not just an introductory standard. However, if the quality is maintained we’ll be buying more, mostly for the kids (the baby is just starting solids but he’ll be eating this sort of thing soon) but also for my husband.
We also liked the coffee – my husband didn’t think it was as good as the premium brand he prefers, but I was happy with it – we’ll buy it if/when my husband’s preferred brand isn’t available.

They just love eating them- anywhere anytime. I did add some to my 16mth old’s muesli the other morning and he loved that. He loves dried fruit, so the extra sultanas were a hit.
Also thanks for the little extra woolworths select coffee! It was lovely. A little weak for me, but that’s usual with a single-serve sachet, I either just add more when I spoon it myself, or choose a stronger variety. I will definately be purchasing this one next time. I always go for the “big brands”, but WW select is just as nice and a lovely, rounded flavour.

I found the sultana boxes not the best quality, they got soggy and ripped really easily.
If I went to Woolworths, I probably would buy this brand before others, however I wouldn’t go there out of my way to buy this product.

However I have used a few of the individual packs in recipes and they are just the right size to add….for example……..
Great rissoles
Turkey mince+ginger+garlic+wheatgerm+1 x egg+salt/pepper+SELECT SULTANAS =yumm
Select Sultanas sprinkled over a curry = yummmmm
SELECT SULTANAS added to shortbread (add after rubbing butter through dry mix)
Just a few I’ve trialled since receiving Woolworths Select Sultanas to review….
Happy reviewing……………………..Chef Ted

I didn’t mind the sultanas I baked with them and they were much more edible, even my son had some of my sultana biscuits and muffins but I wouldn’t choose them over other brands for my family as my son doesn’t like them and my husband and I rarely eat sultanas.
