Sally Obermeder welcomes her second child via surrogate.

In July the Daily Edition co-host took to Instagram to share the exciting news, that she and her husband, Marcus Obermeder, were expecting their second child together via surrogacy.

The 42-year-old captioned the image: “Yes, it’s true. Thrilled to bits to share that @marcusobermeder and I are adding to our family thanks to the most incredible surrogate.”

The couple’s four-year-old daughter, Annabelle Grace, is holding up a sign that reads: “I’m going to be a big sister.”

She added that she will share her family’s “story of ups and downs” in an exclusive interview with Seven’s Sunday Night this weekend.

Sally was diagnosed with an aggressive form of life-threatening breast cancer when she was 41 weeks’ pregnant in 2011.

In an interview with New Idea magazine, the TV presenter spoke of her desire to have more children, but said doctors had warned her that another pregnancy was “far too dangerous”.

“I’ve been told in no uncertain terms that it’s far too dangerous for me to be pregnant again, in terms of the cancer returning,” she told the publication.

“I acknowledge that I’m extremely lucky to have one child … But the yearning and desire to be a mum again is so strong and it has not passed.

“Before I was sick I always pictured I would have two or three children, if I was lucky enough, and I still want that for Annabelle.”

Congratulations guys!
