My kids love painting and drawing and during Summer they especially love painting outside on the concrete.

Did you know that you can make your own chalk paint in two minutes? The kids can be outside busy painting before you know it.

Chalk paint

What you’ll need:

  • Cornflour (cornstarch)
  • Food colouring
  • Water

Method:

  1. Fill half your container with cornflour
  2. Add some drops of colour and mix
  3. Add water until smooth
  4. Get painting

This is a fun, easy and cheap way to keep the kids entertained this school holidays.

Try it out and let me know how you go. Please SHARE in the comments below.

  • One thing about it, if you don’t like it or want to change the design you can wash/scrub it off and start again. For those in rental propery I hope it comes off easily the colouring doesn’t discolour concrete, tiles or pavers.
