Kate Winslet keeps her Oscar trophy in the bathroom. This is why.

In 2009 the incredible Kate Winslet took out the Oscar for Best Actress for her role in The Reader, and where does she keep this prestigious award? In her bathroom of course!

The Titanic actress recently spoke with WSJ Magazine and had a perfectly good reason for keeping it there, saying: “The whole point is for everybody to pick it up and go, ‘I’d like to thank my son and my dad’ — and you can always tell when someone has, because they’re in there a little bit longer after they flushed, they’ll come out looking slightly pink-cheeked. It’s hysterical!”

We certainly think it’s a great idea and one that would keep everyone in the house amused!

lol i would not keep it in the bathroom esp’ with dirty hands yuck…..but i bet her bathroom is spacious and glamourous and not the standard little things we are used to. Her bathroom is probably half the size of my house. Kim k’s mother has a tv and couch set up in her bathroom and it is so big.

It’s probably just me, but I wouldn’t touch someone else’s award (especially if it’s in a bathroom – eeewwww).
