thats ridiculous…i would never give up breastfeeding due to older sibling being jealous. i would rather spend more time with and give older sibling one on one time alone together when baby was sleeping…we all parent differently, though i would not allow sibling jealousy to get in the way

Seriously? I wouldn’t let my toddler dictate if my baby was breast fed or not.

I didn’t want to read this story, but I did – silly me.

I am breastfeeding my 6 week old and have a 2 year old. After I finish feeding my 2 year old often comes up to me, lifts up my top and says “my turn” or he will try and pull bub off me when she is feeding. They are funny at that age. It must be so hard for them to suddenly realise they are not the only little one in the house.

I never had this problem – in fact, my boys would “breast feed” their action figures while I fed their baby sister.

Why not just offer to feed her too?

It must be tough for any woman with a baby and a young child to determine how to feed each child. I am not sure that I would pander to the older child forsaking the baby’s needs.

I can’t believe this woman let her toddler daughter dictate what she can and can’t do. Worst come to worst, she could breastfeed when North wasn’t around. I’m sure she has many people on hand who could have kept North busy while she breastfed.

How old is North? I can’t believe that she was so jealous that the mother had to stop breastfeeding. Am I the only one thinking this is kind of weird?
