  • My hubby is super creative and made me a shell crown for our wedding instead of me having a tiara and also a little hair comb to use as a fascinator for the races.

  • Stick them on coloured paper that was glued and dried and fit in photo frame with no glass and hang on the wall it looks good.

  • I have covered plain picture frames with shells, as well as gluing shells on boxes to make special lids.

  • Iv put them in the bottoms of glass candle holder decorations they look great and can be changed if I want something different.

  • Hi I saw an article on the internet a page called Hometalk the other day and they used a large empty pot painted it in a bright colour, then put in foam packaging you know the stuff you get around items in boxes, then they cut out a disc of cardboard the same size as the pot put that on top of foam then poured sand over that and placed the shells on top of sand and used a glass table top for a lid and used it on the patio as a side table.

  • With my aunt we once made a beautiful mirror frame. We painted the background blue fading into yellow like the sand/sky then stuck the shelf all over it. We had a mirror in the middle. Enjoy your crafting!

  • You could decorate a photo frame or mirror or make greeting cards

  • My daughter used shells to decorate the frame of a mirror. It turned out quite stunning

  • Thanks for the seashell chimes idea – will take a good look at this project again. I do love chimes and have some already – but you can never ever have too many chimes! :)

  • You could make a sea- shell chime which l saw on this site and it looked fantastic!

  • Thanks so much for the idea – will decorate some frames and place pictures from beach holidays in them. :) Have a very big box!

  • I have used shells to decorate photo frames by gluing them around the frame. I have also decorated a plastic box by gluing shells to the lid, and my daughter uses the box to store special items.
