  • Smile, encourage, support- but don’t push :)
My eldest son was 3 before he toilet trained, but having said that he was completely nappy free- day AND night- within 2 weeks.
When they’re ready, they’ll let you know- trying at any other time is just an exercise in futility LOL
Sounds like yours is ready… :) We bought a ‘family seat’ for $40 from Masters- it’s a normal white toilet seat, with a child sized seat connected as well. When not in use, just lift the toddler seat up and it magnets up to the lid. It is a brilliant invention :)

  • Make it easy for them to go to the toilet. Leave the bathroom door open, place a stool near the toilet so they can climb out. And praise their efforts.

  • All my kids started at different times for different reasons. My youngest was the worst.. But one day i said to him i will give you a sticker if you pee on the potty and he did. It seemed to work i put the potty in front of the tv when the kids were at school and he did it.. When he did i made a huge deal out of it.. I danced around the room and sang a song about peeing on the potty he was so excited.. We also rang his daddy at work to tell him what his son had just done and he loved it.. The next step a few weeks later was a poo. Just Stickers didn’t work and as the kids have to earn their pocket money i told him for every poo he did he would get a coin in his piggy bank ( he is three) ..Well he did one straight away within minutes along with his new poo sticker chart to show off to his older siblings.. The payment of coins lasted a few weeks( one payment a day) and he is now happy with just stickers on his chart.. It seems sometime money can get a kid to do anything i wish i knew this with the older kids…. Goodluck..
