I would make sure I have a translation app on your phone because it can be hard to get around if you are relying on reading street/shop signs.

We have been their twice and it is such a clean country with wonderful people. I would strongly recommend you bring a English/Japanese dictionary as you would hopefully know , hardly anyone speaks English ! Enjoy your trip .
