Hello!

Would anyone know which is the best dishwasher for family of 7? And what things I should watch out for? Thanks

  • I have an LG which I’m happy with, but I’ve heard that Fisher and Paykel have great dishwashers.

  • We have a fisher and paykel 2 drawer dishwasher! I love the fact that you can run the 2 drawers seperately !

  • We have a Fisher and Paykel and we love it. I must confess we do not use it every day like a lot of people . once a week is our routine!

  • We quite like Bosch here, never had any problems.

  • I recently installed a AEG and it is awesome – it has many functions but at the end of the day what you look for is water and electricity consumption.

  • LG r good!

  • Hi, Dishwashers are just wonderful “Marital Tools” as my stepdaughter says. I thought she was being rude when she told me she bought a new marital tool. hehe. I went to a good Hardware store Like Bunnings in Australia, or an online site like ‘Appliances Online’. They have good brands, ours from Bunnings has been wonderful, and it was a good price.

I would be careful with the size, makesure you get one that is suitable for a family of 7. You have different sizes. Also make sure you measure correctly the space where you want the dishwasher. If it is going into a space in the kitchen, measure twice and write it down. Appliances Online is a reputable store. Also, I have a shopping website http://www.allbargainsanddiscounts.com, there are some appliances in a couple of shops, on the home page, click on Appliances and look at the ads, you may find a good one for an excellent price. All our items are discounted by up to 90%. Good Luck.

Oh yeah, one more thing, Don’t use those tablets all the time, they are not very good for your dishwasher. I found ‘Finish’ to be good, you only use the amount of powder necessary, and the Finish Rinse, either blue or lemon, and once a month, put the Dishwasher cleaner through by itself, it cleans out all of the pipes etc. Always rinse plates etc before putting into dishwasher or it will block the pipes. Happy washing up. xxx Dee

  • Did you end up getting your dishwasher?

Before buying a new dishwasher I had a spin around the web and looked at reviews on different brands, the forums were a good way to read what people looked for in a dishwasher and what to avoid.

  • Love my LG its fantastic, and has a half load option which with 7 of you may never be used

  • check the energy and water ratings.

  • watch to see how many setting fit in and how they need to be arranged. our lg was great.

  • we hae blancho and its brilliant for ! plenty of room too:)

  • I have used a few brands and they all seem good. Make sure you get one that is rated high as a water saver as some can use a lot more than others. I think it comes down to what dish washing product you use inside to how clean everything is.

  • I have a bosch and it is excellent. Look for one that is easy to load and unload. Separate cutlery trays where you have to place each piece of cutlery would be a total waste of time for me.

  • lg are a good brand
