if you use quit covers then i cant see the use in a top sheet… i dont use a top sheet, only a fitted one… less washing for me! I keep the flat sheet out of sets and sew them into another fitted sheet, its easy enough to do and again saves me money…

A sheet accumulates any dander (dead skin), saliva etc. which would otherwise go on your doona cover, making it necessary wash your doona cover every week…or if sickness occurs more often. A sheet is easier to wash.

Yes always have sheets under them. Less things to wash and have to dry especially over winter and it acts as a barrier for the winter woollen blankets that go on too
