Hello!

I’ve visited my friends places for overnight stays and they have a sheet under the doona cover, I don’t do this so was wondering if any of you mums do the same?

  • Yes, I’ve always used a top sheet. What about in summertime when it’s too hot for a doona? Curious about what you use then

  • Yes. I have a sheet, then a blanket and then the doona.

  • No, but we do wash the duvet covers once a week.

  • No, but I do wash the duvet cover weekly. I’d use a sheet if I wasn’t washing it that often.

  • I do. I feel odd without one.

  • Yes definitely have to have a top sheet I just can’t cope without one I like being tucked in and in summer when it’s hot a lot of nights are only the top sheet and no doona .

  • Yes I do but my husband doesn’t so depends who makes the bed but most of the time yes.

  • No, we just change the duvet covers weekly.

  • Yes I use a sheet under the doona cover. It’s easier when it comes to washing, and even in hot weather I take the doona off but still prefer a sheet over me.

  • if you use quit covers then i cant see the use in a top sheet… i dont use a top sheet, only a fitted one… less washing for me! I keep the flat sheet out of sets and sew them into another fitted sheet, its easy enough to do and again saves me money…

  • Nope. I only have fitted sheets and doonas here

  • A sheet accumulates any dander (dead skin), saliva etc. which would otherwise go on your doona cover, making it necessary wash your doona cover every week…or if sickness occurs more often. A sheet is easier to wash.

  • yep, sheet, blanket and quilt

  • No my husband hates it. So I am now trained not to have a sheet under the dooner.

  • Yes always have sheets under them. Less things to wash and have to dry especially over winter and it acts as a barrier for the winter woollen blankets that go on too
