Hello!

I’ve been told it’s better for skin/hair if we use a certain product for couple months then change, do you mums do this. I tend to mix mine around?

  • Yep, I tend to shop for the best specials.. I like to switch things up and I think its good for my hair, skin and wallet.

  • I like to finish one product and try another one .This way it keeps the item fresh as once opened especially in jar when you are always finger dipping ,there is bound to be bacteria entering in . It is such a waste to toss when it goes off .

  • I don’t change if a product works well!

  • If you are using a good quality product suited to your hair and skin it shouldnt be necessary to change

  • Yes I do, especially hair, I find that my hair seems to get used to a product and it does not work as well, so usually every couple of months I change and then go back to the others in the future, I find the same with moisturisers, they start of great but within 3 mnths they are greasy and I look like a grease spot, I then change and find improvement, I can usually go back to the original products in 6 mnths or so, I tend to change everytime I buy a new one now, using a sample to ensure no allergies initially, the ladies at the cosmetic counters know me now and told me it is a common problem. I personally think It is hormonal and also seasonal related.

  • Also; I tend to look at specials too!

  • I tend to alternate with favourites.

  • I alternate between a few favourites!

  • i always change brands. i buy what is on special and good value.

  • I regularly change brands and products because there is always something new to try.I do prefer natural and organic ranges that don’t contain chemicals or toxic ingredients.

  • i don’t switch products usually but have recently changed to a natural shampoo & conditioner from moogoo as my scalp was reacting to my normal stuff. It has made a huge difference, I really love their products.

  • my best advise is to NOT wash your hair every day – I find it strips the hair of all natural oils leaving it dry & frizzy. I only wash my hair every 3rd day – but I do condition my hair in between washes. I also like you use leave in hair serums/oils – I find they make my hair much softer , manageable & healthy.

  • I generally stick to the same skin care products but I do change my shampoo & conditioner regularly

  • I use different products every day, and keep a wide variety of hair and skin products of which to choose. Not because it might be healthier for my skin or hair, but because I simply can’t bear the idea of using the same things over and over again if I don’t have to.

  • To a degree i do. I tend to have different products for Summer and Winter but thats about it.
I was lucky enough to have a 6 week overseas holiday recently and because I was going from our end of Winter to the Beginning of their Fall I took my Winter products with me but also added some extra hydrating products as 22hours in a plane tend to freak my skin out.
In Summer I tend to use shampoo and conditioner that is more for an oily scalp where as in Winter I go for more hydrating.
