  • We have a digital scale, which goes on batteries.

  • Standard – Electric can be fidgety putting in your age, height etc

  • My sister in law bought a mini digital scale the size of a big tile to weigh small foods such as flour , etc .. The only thing I don’t like is it is battery operated and I think manual ones will last longer . Like a lot of digital items , you need to change batteries etc and I think it is more of a hassle than not thinking about changing anything .

  • digital scales are more accurate but manual are cheaper

  • Gee I think I might have been a bit confused; I was talking about body weight measuring scales and I think the question might have been about kitchen scales now I see the rest of the answers

  • Electric scales, that have a couple of functions, but I only ever use the weighing one. They were a Xmas present about 9 years ago, so they are probably worth the money lol.

  • You can buy digital at the chemist for around under $30,they are worth it!

  • You are welcome!

  • Thanks for your answer mom90758!

  • Oh, I bought it something like 10 years ago. And it’s still functioning. I don’t think it was that expensive.

  • mom90758 – is the price difference between the two scales big?

  • Mine broke and I need new scales. Weighing up all options.

  • I use a digital scale. It’s very convenient and I wouldn’t go back to a standard one.
