Hello!

I have to put an end to this procrastinating. Weight loss is something that’s always on my mind and anything I’ve tried hasn’t lasted long enough to show any significant changes. I’ve come to a point where I’m sick of making excuses. I want to get serious about weight loss. I’m currently considering Weight Watchers. I feel like I need to commit to something, set goals and just get started. I would appreciate feedback or suggestions from mums who have tried this program before.

  • My mum joined weight watchers and lost heaps of weight. I’ve found if you join with a friend on your weight loss journey, things are a little easier. You keep each other motivated and help each other keep on track. Good luck wit it, I know how hard it is

  • Keeping motivated is hard. Once you find some of their recipes that you love, it gets easier. My sister does this program (or used to) and now does her own thing without ongoing support from them, whilst keeping to the basic principles. She doesn’t buy and special. WW products, just fresh healthy foods. She lost quite a bit of weight and has kept it off for years (loss of around 35kg). Getting the initial weight off was the hardest, and WW was great for that.

  • I haven’t tried that particular program, but I know of a few that have, and all liked it. One lady has lost 35kg.

  • I’ll be following this with interest. Out of all the programs, it’s Weight Watches I’ve heard the most success stories about.

  • give it a try. find what works for you. motivation is the key to weight loss!

  • yes, I have done WW in the pass and really liked it. I liked that you could still have a treat, while losing weight.
I also lack motivation and liked that you went and weighed in each week at a meeting (you don’t have to). That way I was driven by fear of putting weight back on each week lol! it worked for me! I don’t do WW strictly anymore but it helped me to make better choices with the foods I eat.

  • Ive not tried the program but I have cooked recipes from one of their cook books, it was really delicious :)
