Hello!

My 3.5yo daughter will be changing child care centres soon. This is due to cost and convenience. She loves her new child care, she attends 1 day a week at the new one and 2 days a week at the other one. In a few weeks I will have her completely over at the new centre. She has been at the old one since she was 12 months old. I know she has lots of friends there and she speaks about them a lot. I just want other mum’s thoughts on making a little contact card thing so her friends can keep in contact with her. She’s never had any outside of care playdates. I know soon enough she will probably forget who they are, so am I going to too much trouble trying to keep contact with them for her?

  • I wouldn’t worry too much. You child will make new friends at the new centre, likewise when she starts school.

  • Truthfully I did the same and if you haven’t done any out of centre play dates unless they will be going to the same primary school I wouldn’t worry.
