Hello!

The kindy my children attend is looking for ways to fundraise. Does anyone have a good idea for a fundraiser that is not a chocolate drive or a sausage sizzle?

  • My kids school had once the art works of the kids framed and then selling it to the parents / grand parents

  • Selling seeds from plants at kindy, local bakery fundraisers, cookie dough, raffles – Easter ,Mother’s Day, etc. we also man the gate at the local farmers market which earns us a decent amount for very little work.

  • What about the old fashion lemonade stand , and maybe you can sell some cookies/cakes on the side to go with it ?

  • There are lots of great ideas here already. Raffles, guessing competitions, and trash and treasure stalls are always popular.

  • there are lots of bakeries that do pie or lamington drives

  • My friends sons kindy had a bike a thon where you paid to sponsor the kids to ride their bike on a set track ie 1km track

  • There are some great ideas here already! My daughter’s daycare does the following fundraising; dress up/ costume days on special days (i.e. gold coin donation on Valentines Day); Entertainment Book; Disco; cheap family photo portraits; pie drive; and book club.

    Good luck with your fundraising!

  • I still love the decorated melamine plates and cups from the fundraiser.

  • Our kindy held a family fete. But the best idea was the paintings the kids had made were sold as art.

  • A car wash the kids have fun and it’s all for a good cause. :)

  • Two fundraisers that were a big hit at our school was a memo pad with a plastic sleeve that sits on the fridge and the kids draw on the banner at the top and another was aprons where all the kids draw a picture and they all got transferred and then printed on all the aprons. Something that you can keep / use is always handy and something fun for you to remember how little they were.

  • My son’d kindy have recently done tea towels, they were great! Each child gets to do a small drawing and their name is printed under their picture. They are quite cost effective also, and a lovely memento for the family members of kindy-goers to treasure forever.

  • how about running a trivia night, ask local business to donate gifts, charge 10 a head and make it 10 per table, always popular and makes lots of money. also have games in between questions like gold coin thrown at the bottle and closest to it keeps the bottle.

  • There are lots of ideas online from Billy G’s cookie dough to Garden Express bukbs. Raffles are always good too or the entertainment book. Our kindy also does the scholastic book clubs to raise money.

  • Another Mum posted http://www.fundraisingideas.com.au/ I also recommend this site if you haven’t checked it out yet. Good luck with it all.
