Hello!

Hi I’ve got a 10 year old and would like to give her some resources.

  • Libra girl is great they even send out a whole pack on periods and puberty etc. :)

  • Kaz Cooke did a really good book recently, although I can’t remember the name of it right now. Should be easy to find at a library or bookshop, though.

  • As others have said (sorry not trying to copy them) it is a great idea to buy dolly and girlfriend magazines or even total girl I think it’s called, small book like the k-zone one but that’s also good for her age.

  • Totally agree Dolly and Girlfriend mags are full of informative stuff for teens and pre teens

  • There a number of books in the shops that can help. I bought one from Big W in the health section on growing up as a girl. My daughter is nearly nine and asking questions. This has helped her get a better understanding of the small changes she is experiencing. I’m about to set up a monthly pack with little things to help when that part arrives. :)

  • I personally really like Girlfriend & Dolly magazine. I find they are filled with lots of great information. Many parents think 10 is too young for these mags but in all honesty you’d be surprised at what is discussed in the school yard that you don’t know about from that age group.
