I’m glad I don’t have to vote (as I still carry my Dutch nationality), one concern less

I voted 1. Nick Xenophon Party, 2. Family First, 3. Liberal, 4. Labour and 5. The Greens. That is the order I voted in on our lower house card and also on the senate paper which I added a 6th preference to above the line. All done and dusted now of course but our safe Liberal seat ain’t so safe no more. The Team X candidate doing quite well for themselves and could present a huge threat at the next election.

It’s a personal choice. I guess I’ll decide when I’m in the polling booth.

Its been really had for me to make a decision this year. I actually went online and compared policies side by side and there really isn’t much difference between the parties. It comes down to minor details.

Usually I know well and good way before election day, but I currently still have no idea.

I vote according to a members work in the community and their plans for the community.

Meh, they’re all as bad as each other. Will tell you anything you want to hear to get elected then re-nig on promises once in office.

I need to hear and read the policies and speak to candidates before election day.

Have not yet decided,will come down to issues that affect our lives.

good question, I hate politics and don’t care, so I pick smaller parties, women etc..

There is a good reason why voting is called a secret ballot ..because it’s secret.

I think each person should vote for the party that best represents their values.

The senate paper is a lot more important than the major party vote (big white paper). I am still researching every single party’s policies that have been registered (over 50 registered parties). As I look at the policies I am listing each party by preference so I know exactly what to number when the day comes.

It is best you research yourself do be fully educated in what you are actually voting for. So far the parties I have on top of my list are Sustainable Australia and Rise Up Australia. The ones on the bottom are all the socialist parties. These are my preferences and can differ from others, but I checked out all their policies before making the decision. However the majority will not do their research and just follow what ever the media tells them to think. That is a waste of a vote in my opinion.
