  • Camping is a great cheap alternative,or, if you hate the idea of tents a lot of caravan parks have cabin type setups which a re really great too, or maybe you could even hire a camper van and do a road trip type thing.

  • Cruising (pre covid) was great value. Travelling within our own State is our option now.

  • I agree with Mom64356; traveling interstate and off season :)

  • Great tip, we do try to travel interstate outside of school holiday dates! Less queuing up for things, cheaper accommodation and meals.

  • Travelling to Queensland in the off season saves alot of money and is always fun!

  • Sharing accomodation with other families is also a good idea and gives everyone plenty of space.

  • We go during low peak and off season times to places as this saves money. Camping, rural and beach holidays are good and cheap too.

  • Living rurally there a quite a few local camping grounds. We regularly take the kids camping, avoiding peak crowd times. It’s nice having the place nearly to ourselves. Fabulously relaxing
