They became first-time parents after welcoming their daughter, Alexandria Rose, into the world last June.

And almost a year later, football playing Chris Billings has decided to relive the special moment his wife, former Bachelor star Alana Wilkie, gave birth to their bundle of joy.

In a new blog, posted on Mamamia, the sporting ace revealed how ‘his eyes filled up with tears’ as soon as the doctors handed their little girl to his partner.

And as for the choice in name, the handsome hunk confessed: ‘We had spoken about a first and second name for her previously so we knew exactly what we were going to call her.

‘I asked Alana “Does she look like an Alexandria Rose?” “Oh Yes!” Well there is was, we had a little daughter, Alexandria Rose Billings, born at 7.04pm weighing 3.14kg. Two of us had become three.’

Over the past few months, the proud parents have been sharing photos of their treasured one all over Instagram since she arrived.

‘Reliving the birth of our beautiful daughter,’ the former TV starlet wrote alongside a candid Instagram image posted on Tuesday.

  • Welcoming a baby into the world is most definitely a once in a lifetime, hard to explain moment, whether it’s your first or tenth. I still get teary remembering my children’s births. It’s so special
