Even the smallest residents of the US are celebrating Halloween this year thanks to volunteers and nurses who have made costumes to help the babies in the neonatal intensive care unit at St. Luke’s Hospital, celebrate Halloween in a special way.

Watch the story and see the tiny babies all dressed up:

How adorable do they all look?! What a great thing for the nurses and volunteers to do for the babies and their families.

  • They are all so very beautiful.

  • Um, why?? I imagine these little bubs needs to be kept as sterile and comfy as possible. An odd way to celebrate Halloween, I would have thought.

  • How cute do they look !
My eldest daughter was 10 weeks early and she was weighing only 880 grams. Luckily she was very strong (she had an Apgar Score from 9-9) and the NICU staff was devoted indeed.

    • But to be honest I wonder if it’s true if the nurses and volunteers make these Halloween costumes for the premmie babies…probably it’s more for themselves and the family as the babies don’t know a thing about Halloween.

  • Neo-natal or special care wards nurses do a wonderful job at all times. If it weren’t for them many little ones just wouldn’t survive. A big thank you to them all.

  • My last bub was in Special Care Nursery for his first Christmas and I was blown away by the nurses and their love for our prems and the beautiful pressies and cards they made for each one of them. We had crocheted santa hats, my first Christmas outfits and home made cards with photos and lovely messages! I walked in and burst into tears, they just know exactly what a parent needs to see on these special days!

  • According to my Mum I was 6 weeks premature, had no eye lashes ,eyebrows, fingernails or toenails, almost of my head was completely bald. When my eyelashes appeared they looked like little pins appearing. Our last addition to our family was 3 weeks early and was tiny. She was OK so they let her come home
