Open the can and greeted with lovely fresh looking chick peas. They have held not just their colour, but flavour and shape as well. The texture of the peas is very nice. They make a great base for various salads. Always keep some on hand in the pantry.

Such a tasty product. We’ve used these for salads, falafel, and tried the chick pea juice as an egg substitute. Very handy to keep in the pantry.

  • Great flavour

My favourite thing to do with these chick peas is to drain them , pat dry and cover with a bit of oil and paprika, I then cook them either in the air fryer or oven to make yummy roast chickpeas. A delicious source of protein.

so great to make a dip with, throw in a curry or stew to add protein, they make a great salad and are even fabulous in the air fryer.

  • stodgy

So much worse than organic chickpeas but more costly. Also just flew out of my oven unexpectedly. Bad news all together…….

  • Perfect for making hommus

    4.5 out of 5

I love the Edgell tin of Chick peas as they are ready to go for making hommus. A quick rinse and into the blender with lemon juice, tahini and garlic and it makes the quickest and yummiest hommus dip!

  • Versatile and convenient

A reputable brand, and a good quality chick pea with nice texture and flavour. Very convenient and long storage life, to have on hand for soups, hummus or curries.

Summer is here and salad time is here too and I love salads! My salads are just not complete without yummy and healthy chick peas.

  • Handy pantry staple

    4 out of 5

I always like to have cans of chickpeas in the pantry, and this is the brand I always use. They are tasty and consistently good.

  • Good value

    4 out of 5

These chick peas are good value. The can is very full, and includes liquid, so the chick peas can be eaten or added to recipes straight away upon opening can. However, several cans I’ve opened contain large amounts of chick pea shells or skin, particularly when compared with some other brands.
