RECALL issued for Mamas & Papas Amadillo Flip and Amadillo Flip XT strollers.

Product Safety Australia, say no injuries have been recorded to date, however if the safety harness is not used or is incorrectly used, there is the potential for the infant to fall out of the stroller and be injured.

“Under certain conditions, when in the parent facing position, a latch may slip and cause the seatback to tip backwards. The seatback tip cannot occur when the infant is in the forward facing position or where a bassinet attachment is used.”

What should consumers do?

Owners of the Armadillo Flip and Flip XT strollers will be contacted by letter or telephone to arrange a repair of the stroller.

Until your stroller has been fixed, do not use it on rough terrain in the parent-facing position. Always ensure the infant is securely strapped in using the safety harness.

If you are not contacted directly, please call Exquira on 1300 814 557, or emailĀ  info@exquira.com.au(link sends e-mail) to arrange a time for the fix to be applied.

  • There has been too many brands/models of strollers recalled in the last few months. There has been some bad reviews on some too. Hard to make a safe practical choice.

  • Important info. But I have to say I think that when the safety harness is not used or is incorrectly used by any stroller (!!!), there is the potential for the infant to fall out of the stroller and be injured.
