Quick and easy slice for morning tea.


Ingredients (serves 15 | makes 15 pieces)

  • 1/2 cup SF Flour
  • 1/2 cup Plain Flour
  • 1 Cup Rolled Oats
  • 2/3 Cup Coconut
  • 2/3 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Milo
  • 1 Egg, whisked
  • 125 Gram Butter, Melted

Method

  1. Combine all dry ingredients.
  2. Mix in butter, egg. Stir well
  3. Press mixture into lined slice pan and bake at 180 degrees approx 20 mins.

  • I have some suggestions for ingredient alternatives if you don’t have some of the above.
    If you don’t have or don’t like coconut you can add a fraction more oats.
    You can also use all SR Flour. It makes the mixture a little softer and it rises better too.
    If you don’t have enough or any Milo you can use Chocolate Quik.
    When it is cooked it should still be soft on top; otherwise when it goes cold It will be really hard to bite or chew. (talking from past experiences)
