Roxy Jacenko received a visit from Police when followers reported her over a recent selfie.

Daily Telegraph reports, police visited the home of mother-of-two, Roxy Jacenko, after receiving complaints in relation to a recent Instagram photo she shared, in which her five-year-old daughter, Pixie, was sitting in the front seat of her car.

Pixie was seen sitting in the front passenger seat, with a secured seatbelt, as she posed for the selfie.

‘Cruising with my ❤️ Pixie Curtis,’ the captioned read.

The image has since been removed.

The Daily Telegraph also reports that police officers in two separate cars visited Roxy’s home in North Bondi, and that it was soon after established that Pixie sat in the front of the stationary car, simply for the purposes of taking a quick selfie. ( Do we believe that?!)

NSW Police confirmed the incident to the publication, acknowledging: ‘No one was home… however officers have spoken to all relevant parties and no further police action is required.’

“There are no suspicious circumstances and it does not relate to any ongoing investigation.”

Roxy has since shared another snap with a simple “cheeky tongue” emoticon, alongside a picture of daughter Pixie strapped IN her car seat,

Wasted police resources or necessary?

  • How can people be so small minded! To follow a celebrity and go out of your way to report them for minor discrepancies. I wonder how badly some people’s lives must be lacking

  • Seriously just follow the rules and keep your kids safe. I’m so sick of these attention seeking narcissists.

  • I love it when social media gets these narcissists into trouble.

  • It’s hard to tell what the truth is? But all in all we need to take the child’s safety seriously!

  • I am glad for one that the police took it seriously and paid a visit. Then at least she then gets the notion that it is not safe to have young kids in the front seat.

  • I honestly think maybe her Facebook ‘friends’ should’ve spoke to her about it first! None of us can say that it was or wasn’t staged as we were not there at the time people need to give advice and support mothers rather then judge and go over their heads especially to the police!

  • so necessary! I hate people that think the laws don’t apply to them! Too bad that kids can be killed by airbags

  • Seem’s a bit unlikely it was staged just for the selfie :/

  • theres no way that was just set up for a photo, but its also too bad, unless cought actually driving she cannot be charged.

  • I guess we will never find out the truth. It looks a little weird to me that the girl was in the front seat just for the pic! But well, we’ll never know.

  • It is illegal for a 5 year old to travel in the front seat of a car under any circumstances so I can understand the photo being reported and the Police following it up for the sake of the safety of the girl. The seat belt doesn’t fit a child that small correctly and wouldn’t work properly if brakes were applied or the car was involved in an accident. Two cars is excessive unless there was only one Officer in each car. There has been cases when Police Officers have been attacked when making enquiries concerning children.
