Hello!

As is standard procedure in journalistic circles, the first thing we do when we either wake up or walk into the office and switch on the fitness sucker (aka computer), is to scan the headlines to see what’s happening in the world that might be worth writing about and sharing with you.

Of course there’s one lady that’s on EVERYONE’S WATCH LIST – Kate Middleton.   If her’s isn’t the World’s most watched pregnancy (yes even more than the Princess of Wales given the fact that digital and social media have made everything more immediate and accessible), we don’t know who’s is. Well, maybe the Kimye baby … actually no, even that doesn’t measure up.

The World is abuzz with this royal baby business and one Google search shows us just how much:

1 hour ago – It’s official—the royal baby is due to arrive any moment now! As we anxiously await the birth of …

2 hours ago – From everything I had read of the “King of Fun” I was fully prepared to spend my afternoon in the company of a, well, chavvy brute.

7 hours ago – Find out the detailed birth plan of how Kate Middleton will be rushed to the hospital when she goes into labor.

6 hours ago – THE world’s press has been camped around the clock outside St Mary’s Hospital in central London for two weeks now in the vague hope of

3 hours ago – No One Actually Knows Kate Middleton’s Real Due Date According to the Daily Mail, Duchess Camilla told some random people at the Little

7 hours ago – Just a day after his wife, Camilla, confessed that the royal family expects Kate Middleton to giv…

1 day ago – Kate’s July 13 due date has come and gone, but the Duchess is still pregnant! Could she and Prince William have intentionally been vague

So, today (just for something new and exciting) we want to say LEAVE THE POOR GIRL ALONE.  No self-respecting mum-to-be is going to want to pop out a bub with billions of people on high alert and we think it’s no wonder the bub is going over it’s due date (if in fact last weekend really was the due date)!

Of course we would love to be the first to bring you a pic of happy Kate and her new bundle but we won’t.  As is my preference with any new mum and bub, they need time to themselves. And LOL we don’t have budgets to camp photographers outside the hospital! A bub is beautiful and gorgeous and tiny and new whether it’s hours or days old.

So when he or she is here – let’s celebrate.  But until then, leave the girl alone!

Do you think the World has gone mad? Should we all leave Kate alone? Or did she know what she signed up for?

  • yeah it is insane the amount of coverage they had on the poor women going through a hell of a pregnancy, lets hope her current pregnancy is a lot easier for her.

  • I think she knew what she signed up for AND I think we should leave her alone. I hated people knowing I was in labour!

  • She handles herself so amazingly well nit I do think it is time to back off a tiny bit

  • Well now she’ll be doing it all over again with a new baby on the way.

  • I did at the time think how much I’d hate to give birth with a screaming mob outside.

  • Pregnancy is a worrying enough time without having the world’s media scrutiny focussed on you.

  • to her credit she handled the attention so well

  • why cant people be left alone? I would find this very intrusive, and as such, dont buy gossip mags

  • Let’s be honest, there is no escaping the media for Kate and of course she realises what she signed up for, she’s not that naive and we shouldn’t be either. How many journalists and news outlets would leave this story alone – we might say leave the poor girl alone while still secretly reading all the updates, after all, how many of us clicked on this article.

  • Good read thanks for the information

  • When you’re past your due date, you are as anxious as anyone to have the bub come out! The last thing you need is everyone else bothering you during this time!

  • I think she handled the media pressure exceedingly well, and I wanted the details as much as anyone, but agree that there are some things, like giving birth, where people’s privacy should be respected.
