The children will be going back to school and it is a good time for adults to participate in ongoing and lifelong education. I do something new every year and build up new skills. Why not enrol in a course and learn something new for 2016?

  • i would love to and the particular course I am interested in is only on in the evenings and I have tried quite a few learning centres and no one offers anything day time. Evenings is not an option for me : (

  • I do that sometimes – just interesting stuff, things like an 8 week course in forensic criminology. Just an overview, but interesting.

  • That is a great goal . I completed a Cert IV in counselling last year and was very proud of myself and learnt a lot of myself at the same time. Also volunteering is great for the soul as it doing something you want to do ( and not forced ) and leads you to learn new skills and meet other people lives and experiences . It is hard when the children are young as you end up running around all the time but does settle as they get older. It is a very rewarding experience if you can do it .

  • With school started again I feel like I finally have time to think about me again. Yeah! A few more weeks before Uni starts to sort myself out.

  • yeah why not try to advance yourself, even if it is for your own personal knowledge. it doesn’t hurt to be smart! that is a great example to set for the children also
