Hello!

I need a new vacuum as stupidly I threw out the filter when emptying the canister on my old one. Now the suction is terrible. I don’t want to spend a fortune though. Anyone know of a good model $150 or less?

  • I bought a Volta from the Good Guys for $200.00 and am happy with it. I’m sure you will find good vacuums for under $150.00 – try the Good Guys, Godfreys, or Harvey Norman.

  • I would honestly save a get a shark, nothing compares. $150 or less wont have great suction.

  • In addition to the comments posted below, you could always go to product review and then go on ebay. Godfreys do sell cheap vacuum cleaners but I can’t account for the quality.

  • I don’t have any advice on a model under $150 unfortunately but if you can in any way afford it I absolutely recommend a Dyson. I’ve never had such a good vacuum cleaner before. We moved into a rental just recently and the amount of dust and dirt it picked up I could not believe. I know the advice isn’t particularly helpful if you can’t afford it right now, but definitely something to look at in the future :)

  • Thank you for the suggestions and I have tried to get a replacment filter with no luck it is a hard plastic piece that lives inside the dusk compartment and I haven’t been able to get a replacement one.

  • I agree with the other ladie, i would see if you can get ahold of a replacement filter, that would be your cheapest option by far! if not i don’t have any other recommendations other then Dyson, nothing else comes close to a dyson IMO :)

  • I would call the distributor to see if I could replace the filter. Also you could check if replacement parts are available online. Good luck.

  • Try your local buy swap and sells for someone upgrading a Miele or dyson
