My daughter has ASD/ADHD and my 2 girls uncle is off to spain to be with his fiance, so he gave them their xmas presents lastnight. Toys for my ASD girl is like mission IMPOSSIBLE as she dont play with toys and if she does its not in the conventional way. but she loooves BUBBLES!!! so he got them each a bubble blowing machine, my youngest opens hers and starts catching bubbles, so my miss ASD opened hers and hers was BROKEN… YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING – 2 HOUR MELTDOWN… things shouldnt be broken, she couldnt get the fact her sisters wasnt and hers was… she wanted us to break her sisters so it was THE SAME omg… we went to buy another one and they didnt have the same one left – ANOTHING MELTDOWN followed!!! My poor brother inlaw was sooo frazzled in tears saying, I just wanted to make her jump for bubbles and it went ALL WRONG.. not his fault! Miss ASD calmed down eventually once her sisters put her toy away….. Why couldnt it of been my youngest one that was broken, she wouldnt of cared and would of understood… joys of learning in life and what it does to test us I yes…. argh… (I am going to make sure now the presents i have for xmas for her dont have ANY FAULTS LOL)

  • It’s one of those situations where you just look up and ask “Why?”

  • Oh you poor thing, and how terrible Brother In Law must have felt when he was so thoughtful in choosing the gift. Perhaps an idea to pack away the machine, and rush to the kitchen for a bottle of dishwashing liquid. I hope the rest of Christmas gift giving causes no more tears. Good luck.

    • Oh yes… and we ended up with a pony not a crocodile, but she loves it…THANK GOD lol
