Hello!

Well I’ve just had one of those lightbulb moments and not in a good way :( For ages now I’ve convinced myself that my weight gain really wasn’t big a deal and I”m a mum who works and does so many other thing for other people that I just ‘don’t get time’ once I keep the house running and cook etc. So anyway had a big party for my birthday on the weekend and had a friend there who is an amazing photographer so he just shot casual shots all night. He sent them to me the other night and there it was, my light bulb moment :( I ended up spending most of last night in tears because I was so ashamed of how I’d let myself get. This wasn’t healthy, this wasn’t good for my kids or me or my relationship. So here it is for the whole world to see so that I can get my motivation to do this. I WILL get healthier, I WILL get fit and I WILL feel better about myself. I deserve this and so does my husband and kids. Thanks for listening x

  • Photos had that effect on me too. I was surprised as I’m not that overweight how overweight I looked in recent holiday snaps. It was the motivation I needed and now I’m losing weight and making a much bigger effort to eat right and exercise. Good luck and its never too late to improve ourselves for our own benefit.

  • I know exactly where you’re coming from, and half the battle is admitting to ourselves that we have an issue that we need to address. Break it down into small goals, so that it doesn’t overwhelm you and seem unobtainable. I’ve been where you are now, and I know exactly how it feels. You put everyone else’s needs before your own, and now it’s time to say “Time for me”. I really do wish you well.

  • Once small step at a time, its not about dieting its about setting up healthy eating for a life time

  • I hope you do well and just make small goals at a time to reach and remember muscle weighs more than fat so as you build muscle you will see a slower drop but don’t get disheartened

  • Good Luck with the healthier you! Sometimes seeing images gives you the wake up call to improve your health. I’m 10 kilo’s down & I feel so much fitter already.

    • thank you for the support. I really need to lose about 40kg but I’m just going to do one little goal at a time x

      • Good on you, little steps are good steps and usually lead to lasting changer rather than overwhelming yourself, as it seems you already have a lot on your plate. Much luck xxx
