Seriously moms I just do not understand some people. A little while back we all heard the sad news of Princes passing. The papers, T.V. and radio were filled with stories of this marvellous man’s talents and accomplishments and at the time of his passing it appeared that he could do no wrong. Now the papers, T.V. and radio are sprooking stories of Prince having medication on him and at his home also that he was diagnosed with AIDS 6 months ago and had refused treatment because he believed God would heal him. Although I must admit I am not or was not a Prince fan but I do believe this man was an amazing dancer, singer and musician and we should remember him that way. Remember the good and let this amazing person R.I.P. Let there be purple rain not acid rain.

  • Prince was well known for his music and his generosity. Thats how his true fan will remember him.. If any of the other stuff is true so what he will still be a ledgend regardless of what caused his passing away..

  • It is a shame. Media stories can cause a lot of harm; we usually only hear half the story and a lot of damage can be done to people, past and present, when wrong or unconfirmed or speculative information is broadcast. It can happen to ordinary people as well as the famous, leaving biases that can be hard to remove. I think it is a media thing that feeds on and stimulates human interest in half-truths.

  • It’s the media’s way of selling more magazines because people & fans are curious but I understand where you are coming from-there’s no dignity

  • Yes, but since a lot of people looked up to him it’s pretty important to point out his mistakes, too.

  • I don’t know. They are trying to find out what really happened to him. I guess that their fans will keep loving him despite what will be discovered. And if he really died of overdose like they are speculating, maybe the knowledge of that will act as a reminder of how dangerous drugs are.

  • I don’t see it as hypocritical, more as people wanting to know as much as they can about a celebrity – if questions are left unanswered, people speculate. This can coexist with acknowledging him for all the great and marvellous things he did.

    • Good and balanced points about this issue. Well said.

  • There will be lots of media speculation, there always is around celebrities.
