Two stabbing attacks in two different Australian states have occurred last night, leaving a woman and man dead and another woman seriously injured.
The first incident occurred in Adelaide where a woman was stabbed to death at Kensington Park in a serious assault.
SA Police confirmed the woman died at the scene last night.
They said police and ambulance officers were called to Oval Terrace about 8:10pm after receiving reports a woman had been found with stab wounds.
A man has been detained by police.
In a second unrelated incident a man has been killed and a woman injured in a stabbing attack at Hornsby Westfield shopping centre in Sydney last night.
Police say the pair were attacked at Westfield Hornsby last night in front of horrified shoppers and a man died at the scene.
The woman was taken to hospital with stab wounds to her chest, punctured sternum and lacerations to her forearm.
The 38-year-old alleged attacker has been arrested and is being questioned by police.
