Once toddlers discover there is a whole lot of yummy food and gadgets that are not meant for them on the bench top, they’ll find out a way to get them.

This little boy just wanted a snack!

What has your child stolen off the bench?

  • It’s amazing how ingenious children can be if they want something.

  • Haha, too funny. What Mummy? Not me? Kids can be cheeky little mischievious things but adorable. And look at those eyes? How can you resist?

My 3 year old went in the fridge once and took a box with homemade raw chocolate and ate it all ! She had a belly ache all evening and didn’t settle until after 1 am !

  • I had a little gingerbread thief, she took the gingerbread straight off the tray when it was still hot! I found her hiding in the corner with a handful of the hot gingerbread’s with a big smile on her face!

  • I know a boy who will steal chcolate and other sweet treats, even if they are at the top of a very high shelf in a cupboard up against a high ceiling. he must get a chair to climb on the bench below, then pull himself up with his arms then feet to reach. I’m fairly tall and I can only just reach the very front of those shelves standing on tip toes. He has no access to a ladder at all. It is securely looked in a garage. Nothing is safe hidden at the back of a shelf in a walk-in robe either.

  • I wouldn’t have been very happy had my daughter stolen the brownies and thrown the plate on the ground. :-)
No, my daughter never stole any food. Maybe she’s not normal!!! ;-)

  • When my daughter was around 18 months, she used to climb onto the bathroom vanity and paint the mirror (and everything else!) with toothpaste

  • Aw what a cutie-pie !
My youngest went in the fridge the other day and ate the lunch of my son and daughter and then later took a dive in the fridge again and ate a full box of homemade raw chocolate. It happened in the afternoon and I didn’t give her anymore food the rest of the day. She had such a belly ache that she didn’t settle until after 1am !! Poor bubba, that was a hard lesson to learn.
