After the Christmas holidays it’s always hard to get thinking of lunch boxes and ideas to keep the kids happy and full at school.

Making your own snacks for the kids is a lot more cost effective than buying them at the supermarket. Here are 10 great lunch box fillers that your kids will love.

  • Some good ideas there. My kids love pikelets, pancakes and waffles and I love it that you can make them super healthy. Also the roast veggie chips, roast chick peas, – corn kernels, and – broad beans are great lunchbox fillers, glad my kids love them.

  • Love the pikelets in the lunch box – but how do they get past the PC food police? Mine never did. Nor did anything else I cooked for the kids. So they had a huge breakfast, a bought yoghurt [not my home made one] for lunch and topped up once they got home.
