Here are 10 great sports activities you can do at home:

2) Hurdles

3) Balloon tennis

4) Ring toss

5) Shot put

6) Balance beam

7) Ball toss

8) Long jump

9) Bowling

10) Obstacle course

Don’t forget to make some medals too!

We’ll be having a family Olympics this year, will you? Please add your comment below.

  • These are all fantastic ideas. I recall doing something similar when my son was younger. We had an Olympics day in our backyard with his cousins – can’t remember the events though – and they were awarded plastic gold medals (from the Reject Shop). Gee, they had fun and loved it. All in the spirit of the Olympics, I say.

  • Yes, I’ve organized Olympic games for the kids, together with a friend. We included some races on roller skates and in the swimming pool. Better in the summer though, it’s freaking cold now…

  • A great article to not only cure boredom these school holidays but it is also encouraging young children to be more active which we all know is a issue.

  • Pre-school and school age children can have so much fun with these. These is some there for various ages. I can visualise our 4 year old doing some of the easier ones.
