Hello!

These days everybody has heard about rosehip oil, but do you know why people love it?

As a mum, it’s a natural beauty product our family uses daily.

Rosehip oil is produced from the rosehip berry. Rosehip plants grow wild in many places (not Australia), but there are only a few places in the world that the plant is grown to produce oil for the purpose of beauty.

There are many brands on the market but not all are created equal. Best to look for one that is pure, with no additives or fragrances. If it’s Certified Organic, then you know you are buying a quality oil.

So why would you want a bottle of this orange tinted oil in your home?

  1. It’s a skin saviour for dry and dehydrated skin.
Packed full of essential fatty acids and antioxidants, a few drops after your morning shower on face or body will improve skin texture and keep it supple and hydrated. Yep, it helps those wrinkles creeping through.
  2. You or a family member have scars as a result of an operation or accident?
Use religiously on healed wounds, and it will repair skin tissue and fade scarring.
  3. Pregnant?
Rub on your belly to nourish skin and promote elasticity as the skin stretches, and it helps to avoid stretch marks. Post pregnancy, continue to use on your belly, and if you have caesarean scars, once healed, Rosehip oil will assist with tissue repair and fading.
  4. Baby in the house suffering from dry spots or cradle cap?
Rosehip oil will help. Make sure you are using a pure oil with no fragrances and additives for baby’s sensitive skin.
  5. Kids have red dry patches on face or body?
Rosehip oil, used regularly, will decrease redness and nourish the skin.
  6. Teenager in the house suffering from acne?
Oil does not produce more oil. Use Rosehip oil to balance the skin’s natural oil. Also use on acne scars.
  7. Dry, brittle hair?
Rub rosehip oil on the ends.
  8. Cuticles peeling and flaky?
Rub some rosehip oil around the nails.
  9. Dry cracked lips – yep, rosehip oil will help.

It really is a multi-use essential. I could continue with many more ways we use it at home, even my hubby has become addicted!

When it comes to looking after your family’s skin, I believe natural is best, and as busy people we need products that have many uses and benefits. For me, Rosehip oil is a must-have.

  • I’ve never used one before. Do they sell them in supermarkets or do you need to go to some special place? I’ve had surgery last month. I could try using it on the scar, if it’s really safe to do that.
