Hello!

My kids think these are hilarious. They play “ice cream shops” in the shower or outside they pretend feed their plastic babies ice cream. They have also used paint brushes and painted with it like watercolour paint.

Material

  • 1 Can Shaving Cream
  • 5 Drops Food Colouring
  • 1 - 6 Party plastic shot cups

Method

  1. Fill each plastic cup up with shaving cream similar to a soft serve ice cream. I recommend using shaving cream for sensitive skin or organic shave cream.
  2. Put your food colouring in a bowl or cup and with a straw or spoon dip the end in and swirl it around the shaving cream.
  3. You can also put colouring in the bottom of the cup (see picture for variations).

  • This looks like such great fun! I didn’t realise they were shot glasses initially so assumed it would be a fortune ones having foam, but very economical in shot glasses. Love!

  • Clever, providing your kids are old enough to know not to eat them.

  • My toddler keeps playing Ice Cream shop with imaginary ice creams so this would be cool but I don’t think it would be a good idea with my 8 month old around.

  • That is cool to have a ice cream shop in the backyard

    • Another great way would be to have the cream in a can so if the child eats it they won’t be sick
