A terrified mother-of-three has claimed her daughter’s electronic doll turned into a ‘demon’ just two months after purchasing it.

Sarah, from New South Wales, shared an eerie footage on social media of the $125 Luvabella Blonde Doll appearing to shiver at the mouth.

The interactive doll features ‘true-to-life facial expressions’, such as opening her eyes, giggling, talking and moving her arms up and down, shares Daily Mail.

However, the mother compared her ‘freaky’ doll to a demon after her jaw started moving faster the longer she was on despite replacing the batteries.

‘Our doll turned demon,’ Sarah explained in a popular Facebook group.

‘It’s definitely a malfunction… She has new batteries its not a battery issue, definitely demon related.

‘The thing just went crazy, not even joking, the longer she was left on, the faster the jaw went.’

Luckily she was able to get an exchange at the store after returning the ‘malfunction’ doll.

‘The poor lady at lay-by is like “oh God, yes that isn’t normal”.’

After sharing the footage, many quickly joked about the doll being possessed, with many referencing Chucky – the fictional villain of the Child’s Play slasher film series.

The mother wanted to share the footage to encourage other families to keep their receipts in case they experience something similar.

Have you experienced anything like this with your kids toys?

  • Any battery operated toy can go funny, that’s why I don’t like them, lol !

  • If the baby monitor is WiFi and suddenly turns on you it could mean it is being hacked by somebody nearby and you are being watched. There may be a vehicle parked nearby with suitable equipment in it. There has been a few reports on pages such as this and also reported to the Police.

  • Returned a baby monitor that kept turning around in the night and facing straight at me. I’d wake up to this little buzzing noise and finally worked out it was the monitor. Very creepy.

  • Glad she was able to get a refund, we had a bouncing zebra that used to randomly make noises with no one round it.

  • My son had an Elmo toy that would always start talking even when it wasn’t touched and no one was near it. I even took the batteries out and the stupid thing still talked!!!

  • Every house needs at least one possessed toy! My kids had a zebra that you could sit and bounce on. In the middle of the night it used to start laughing like a clown before all the sounds began… I didn’t mind the ghost child playing with it but I’d prefer it not to wake me or the kids!

  • And this is why I avoid toys needing batteries like the plague. I don’t understand the hype with these dolls to be honest, why on earth would anyone think it’s a good idea to spend hat much money on a doll? My eldest got gifted a giant Dora doll for her first birthday, when the damn thing started to blink and talk randomly during the night we binned it with relief.
