Big W have recalled the Dymples Infant Girls Overall and Tee Set due to choking concerns.

BIG W takes product safety seriously and wishes to advise customers of a product recall on the following products.

DESCRIPTION: Dymples Infant Girls Overall and Tee Set sizes 000-2 Animal article numbers: 1079219, 1079218, 1079217, 1079230, 1079231 Pink Spot article numbers: 1042341, 1042342, 1042343, 1042344, 1042345 The article number can be found on the care instruction label

This product has been sold in BIG W nationally from: Animal – 19/11/18 to 24/1/19 and Pink Spot – 30/7/18 to 24/1/19

DEFECT: The buttons at the waist may detach from the garment

HAZARD: Detached buttons may pose a potential choking hazard

ACTION REQUIRED: Customers should immediately cease using the overall and tee set and return it to any BIG W store for a full refund.

  • It just seems to be how things are now a days and buttons are never sewen on tight enough.

  • I agree that buttons on most items of clothing are not stitched on strongly enough. The same applies to clothing for all ages.

  • Great share. I would imagine then that there should not be buttons on any clothing for children under 3 due to choking hazard.

    To be honest: all buttons may detach from garments and cause a safety hazard


    • I reinforce all buttons on clothes because the original stitching is always far to loose for my liking.
