Young bride who wanted her child to be involved in her wedding ceremony wore her toddler down the aisle on her back as she tied the knot with her new husband.
Dalton Mort, from Ohio, thought that her special day wouldn’t be complete without her toddler Ellora being a part of it.
She thought of a special way to include her daughter, who was just under two years of age at the time, into her wedding ceremony.
The mother-of-one used a fabric baby-wrap to carry the toddler down the aisle during her summer wedding.
The gorgeous mother-daughter moments, captured by Ohio-based photographer Laura Schaefer of Fire and Gold Photography, see Dalton walking down the aisle in a gorgeous ivory-colored lace dress with her daughter strapped securely to her back in a multi-colored pink and purple wrap.
Speaking to Popsugar, Dalton said she wanted Ellora to feature in the wedding ceremony for a number of reasons.
‘I wore her for a couple of reasons. We really wanted her to be involved in the ceremony, because we felt marriage is a commitment to our family as much as our own relationship.
‘Also, realistically, it just was easier to wear her. We knew the mass was going to be at least 45 minutes and was smack in the middle of nap time.
She added: ‘She was going to need Momma, and I didn’t want to be worried about her.
‘She actually fell asleep about 20 minutes in,’ she added.
They both look simply stunning! We love it x
