Residents in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth will be able to try their luck in a bumper car on ice!

As the weather gets colder and the nights get darker, many Aussie parents find themselves stuck for fun things to do with the kids that don’t involve a screen. Thankfully, bumper cars on ice are coming to a capital city near you! Whilst details are scarce, we can already guarantee the whole family will want to get involved.

Top Secret Information

It is rumoured that the bumper car rinks in Sydney and Melbourne will be open sometime in August and cost around $35 per person. Each car will be battery powered and is controlled by two handles, one on each side, making it easy to move in every direction. Xtreme Ice Arena in Perth has already made the bumper cars available, with children over the age of five allowed to control their own car and younger kids able to drive with their parents. As if the thought of hurtling around an ice rink in a bumper car wasn’t fun enough, the cars will also be illuminated with neon lights. Add some music and you’ve got yourself an awesome party idea!

  • Might be a bit too expensive for my budget but certainly a different twist on bumper cars and not in my state yet anyway. I do think it might be fun though.

  • Probably a bit too costly for a family day out. My childhood memory of the rides only lasted a couple of minutes. That was long enough getting bumped around.
Ironic in the States they call the “dodgem” cars.
