Hello!

So are you a wo(man) or a mouse? Put your palate and your intestines to the test and get your crunch on, with the World’s Hottest Corn Chips.

There are people out there (not me!) who love their spice, and lots of it. Every meal is doused in a lashing of chilli sauce and food is bland unless it sets the tongue a’tingling.

Well, we’ve got sizzling hot news for you. Chilli Seed Bank, an 100% Aussie Owned supplier, specialising in…you guessed it…. chilli, has released new snack that will add fire to your nachos.

The World’s Hottest Corn Chips are infused with Chilli Seed Bank’s own triple pressed, A-grade Carolina Reaper, Scorpion and Bhut Jolokia puree, and finished with a dusting of Carolina Reaper powder to deliver explosive heat!

The Hottest Chilli In The World

And just in case you weren’t convinced, Carolina Reaper, holds the Guinness World Record, for being the hottest chilli pepper in the world.

These corn chips are made using an ancient Aztec method developed some 3500 years ago, called Nixtamalization. Locally grown wholegrain corn is soaked in lime, washed and cooked before being ground into the delicious dough that makes the base of the chips. The authentic dough or masa is then infused with the super-hot puree, seasoned and topped off with a dusting of Carolina Reaper powder for good measure! Yee-ow!

They come packed in a resealable bag – because let’s be honest, chances are you won’t be able to finish the bag in one sitting, but we dare ya to try!

The Reviews Are Hilarious

Reading the reviews from brave consumers are hilarious. One warned:
“Probably should have a warning not to touch your eyes, nasal passages or pole after eating. These chips are great levellers, brilliant for that guy at work who brags about his chilli eating abilities. Also tasty for .5 sec before the extreme heat kicks in.”

Another said:
“OMG, had these at a mates birthday, 7 of us ate them didn’t think they were that bad but then I swallowed, I have never felt something this bad that I actually want to do again, they were great fun but make sure you have at least 10L of milk you will need it.”

These explosive chips come with a few warnings:

Do not consume…
– On an empty stomach… Once the fire reaches your belly, extinguish it with a helping of milk or icecream.
– If you are allergic to chilli, capsaicin or have had an adverse reaction to chilli or chilli products
– If you are sensitive to spicy foods
– If you have a cardiac condition, gastrointestinal problems, or if you have any other serious medical conditions
– If you are pregnant or breastfeeding

And finally, consume responsibly and keep out of reach of children.

It was a little disconcerting that Chilli Seed Bank included a disclaimer pretty much excusing themselves from all liability in relation to damages or injuries resulting from the consumption or contact with this product.

A 50g pack costs $9.95 and can be bought on the Chilli Seed Bank’s website and some shops around the country.

I had once a friend who was a chili addict. She took a daily amount of chili to school, otherwise she wouldn’t survive the day. She needed more and more to get her kick.
