A comedian spent 24 hours inside a Kmart store after ‘moving in’ for a full day.
Jason Pestell drove 160km south of Perth to spend the day walking around the 24-hour Kmart store – just to see if it was possible to live there.
The self-confessed Kmart fanatic documented his time in the department store via Instagram Stories, answering questions to kill the time.
It was daylight when Mr Pestell first entered the store, announcing ‘I will attempt to live a full day in Kmart because #Kmartislife’.
In order to get a little shut eye he used a camping chair that ‘looked comfortable’ and organised a ‘pillow fort’ on the floor.
The staff at the store were kind enough to bring him coffee and even some late night McDonald’s as he continued to circle the premises.
After 2am Mr Pestell freely said he was starting to lose his mind, thinking that a mannequin was actually waving at him.
He began to despair when the Uber Eats app informed him that they don’t deliver to the Eaton shopping centre he was inside.
He stuck it out and finished the challenge, thanking everyone for supporting him.
‘I received a round of applause from staff and other members of the community,’ he said.
