From furniture and homewares to sunglasses and watches, the latest trend for natural materials has extended to ink pens, with the launch of Frixion’s new 3 in 1 Metal and Wood range. “Just like mobile phone covers, jewellery and accessories, having a smart looking, on-trend pen to pull out of your handbag or briefcase makes a stylish statement, giving a polished look whether in the boardroom, school yard or meeting room,” said Ms Barbara Oliver, marketing manager, Pilot Pen Australia.

Frixion 3 in 1 Metal features a smooth metal barrel combined with easy grip rubber with a shiny metal clip and tip in a choice of five funky barrel colours: black, blue, violet, pink and orange.  RRP $24.50.

Both 3 in 1 Metal and Wood varieties feature three ink colours – blue, black and red.  Just click down the barrel to choose your colour.  Just like all Frixion pens, the ink is thermo-sensitive which means if you make a mistake, you simply rub it out with the built-in eraser on the tip of the pen without a trace.

“Frixion 3 in 1 Metal and Wood not only looks great, but is practical too.  You can colour code meeting notes, shopping lists or homework in one quick click and if you make a mistake you can rub it out and start again,” said Ms Oliver.

Ms Oliver said that just as with fashion and furniture, design trends have a huge influence on pen design and that much thought goes into the look and feel of a pen before it hits the shelves, so it ticks every box for style and performance.

The thick set barrel on Frixion 3 in 1 makes it easy to grip and also find in your handbag in your briefcase.  The fine nib gives a beautiful flow whilst writing, allowing for precision and a clean fine look on the page.  The combination of thick and thin adds a contrasting design element that is very appealing,” she said.

Frixion 3 in 1 Metal and Wood is available from Officeworks.
