  • Drink a ton of water so that it forces you to leave your seat to go for regular ‘pee breaks’, during which you should also stretch and rehydrate some more!

  • I avoid calling a colleagues extension, if they are in the building and I plan on interrupting them anyway, I walk there to do it.

  • Setting alarms, and each time they ring take some frozen snack from the freezer to let thaw to be ready for the next break. Make list of tasks to be completed that day. Reward yourself with extra indulgent break on completion of ones you are most likely to avoid.

  • My husband has one at work and is the envy of the office! I need one as I have a bad neck from my desk. To ensure I take breaks I have the water and coffee away from my desk so I have to get up and get it.

  • Go for a walk in the park nearby

  • I set a timer and make sure I get a cup of tea!

  • Get hooked on a book! I guarantee you will be finding excuses to sit down and devour more of the pages!

  • I set a timer to make sure I get up and walk around the office at least once an hour

  • Setting a timer so that you get up and move around is the best way to remember to take a break. I like to make sure I move around and take a stretch every hour, this also allows me to get focused again.

  • My have a fitbit that reminds me to move about once an hour. I also drink a lot of water, which forces me to get up..

  • i have a timer on my desktop which pops up and tells me to take a break … I also only use a small glass so I have to go top it up regularly

  • Always set a timer so i am reminded to take a break, otherwise i just continue to work

  • Set a timer on the computer for every hour so you remember to go for a walk and have a stretch

  • Best tip is to ensure you just get up and walk away weather that be to get a coffee or a drink of water

  • My best tip for ensuring I take regular breaks through the work day is standing every 15 minutes.
