  • Republica Organic Coffee hamper sounds like magic morning words! Try saying that three times real fast!
Pregnancy food myth my grandmother told me – eat your crusts and your child will have curly hair! Eat it with cinnamon and sugar for a brown haired girl!

  • Definitely that pregnant women get cravings for weird food!! I was sick the whole way through my pregnancy and had no cravings whatsoever! Just lived on dry crackers. I would have loved to crave something exotic, lol. ????

  • Pickles! I never craved those nasty things

  • I was told by my mother in law to eat lots of cherries because it will make a light skinned baby #nope

  • One popular myth is eating pineapple. Believers argue it contains the enzyme bromelain which can stimulate the cervix and bring on labour. In reality, pineapples contain so little bromelain that you would need to eat at least seven pineapples for this to have any effect.

  • That eating BBQ chicken was bad for the baby during pregnancy as it could cause salmonella, how do I know this? Because with our eldest son I refrained from eating BBQ chicken for the entire pregnancy, with our daughter and youngest son I ate what I wanted! – They were fine.

  • If you have a bath any time while you are pregnant you will bring on labour

  • That you would eat foods like Icecream and pickles when pregnant, never happened to me.

  • Cravings of gherkin and ice cream. So glad I missed that combo.

  • I was told that I would probably get cravings for weird things like gherkins, but nothing like that ever happened (thank goodness!)

  • If you eat prawns, your kids will have bad skin.

  • when you crave cherkins, you must be pregnant. I always loved these, no matter pregnant or not :)

  • My grandma used to tell me that if I ate too much meat I would have a boy?

  • I never had cravings, the only thing it rained when I had each girl and none for the boy, so funny things do happen,

  • That you can not catch Listeria from soft cheeses made with pasturised milk.
