Each recipe is simple to follow, quick to make and requires the addition of only two, readily available ingredients.

Founded by two Melbourne Mums, Tanya Duncan and Lisa Bourne. Funch grew from their passion to create and share healthy food throughout Australia and beyond.

With a shared interest in health and fitness, Tanya and Lisa observed a genuine lack of choice at the supermarket for healthy snacks.

There was little snack food available ‘off the shelf’ without preservatives, additives, colouring and no added sugar. Tanya and Lisa saw this as an opportunity to innovate. and create the sort of products they wanted for their own kids.

This gaping hole for affordable, easy to prepare and convenient healthy snacks gave Tanya and Lisa a great opportunity to introduce an original concept of a DIY Premix to make healthy snacks and choices.

Tanya and Lisa introduced the retail DIY mixes through independent supermarkets, green grocers and health food stores, which are now available Australia Wide. The duo saw further opportunities to increase the reach of their healthy snacks by introducing supply in bulk buckets that are suitable for use in food services and school canteens.

With industry certification to support the Funch range’s healthy snack claims, Funch products are quickly becoming standard menu items in school canteens throughout Australia.

  • Actually getting the time to research a recipe, make a shopping list, get to the supermarket, buy the groceries, get home and then make it from scratch. These mixes sound like a brilliant solution!

  • carrots,celery, capsicum I pack,
but a full lunchbox keeps coming back,
    my child is so fussy,
Funch would be such a great help to me!

  • The simple fact that he was introduced to a thing called cookies. Now everything needs to be disguised for him to eat it!

  • One avocado costs the same as five packets of biscuits.

  • Trying to find something that they actually enjoy!

  • Very picky

  • The time to meal prep the healthy snacks. I try for every Sunday but if that doesn’t happen then I’m pushed for time to make them during the week. I only feed them healthy snacks so I know exactly whats in them.

  • To not tell them that it’s healthy because their more likely to eat it when you don’t tell them that it’s good for them.

  • variety and getting something they actually like which is filling and satisfying

  • Having the time, I am a full time student and full time Mum so there isn’t any spare time

  • I will only provide healthy foods. There is so much bad foods in store. Healthy food is so much more expensive.

  • Finding something they like, that is filling and suitable for school!

  • My 3 year old is a fussy eater and I find anything marked as healthy he finds “distusting “ lol. And because he does my 1 year old copy cat refuses to eat too!!

  • Nuts present, not vegetarian, too much sugar or chemical sugar, fatty, too much chocolate…

  • The most challenging thing is getting my kids to try anything healthy! Unless their snacks look like biscuits, cakes or muesli bars, they’re not interested!
