Cooking with my kids is special during the cold months, keeping them active and entertained is always challenging but I found that they love creating delicious treats.

The cooler days mean I’m no longer avoiding heating up the house and instead, I fill it with the aroma of fresh bakes – there is nothing more homely than that!

I love baking for my family and friends any time, Autumn is special though because I can bake with seasonal fruit such as rhubarb, passionfruit, pear and citrus, picked fresh from my garden and baked with love.

It’s a very relaxing and comforting way to spend an Autumn’s day indoors! It’s exciting and lots of fun to bake your favourite recipes or new recipes, and enjoy them with your family and loved ones afterwards.

I love baking in this weather – there’s nothing better than preparing a delicious and nourishing meal for your loved ones using the season’s produce. I’ve included a picture of my favourite chicken and veggie pie which I made for my lovely housemates hence the FDA for Francine, Danielle and Aleesha. There’s also nothing better than snuggling up afterward for a nice warm treat for dessert!
