  • Packaging is one of the worst when it comes to products that take years to biodegrade. Using reusable packaging for school lunches, reusable shopping bags and also purchasing recyclable and biodegradable products and packaging

  • With four young children, we invariably end up with a bit of food waste every day. Instead of binning it, we’ve set up a Bokashi composter in the kitchen that takes cooked and uncooked food scraps. It’s convenient, doesn’t smell and does wonders for our veggie patch!

  • Look after our space, create less waste! Plastic is a no, it needs to go! Use less water, gas and oil, don’t become spoilt. Come on it’s really simple, recycle and reuse it, love our planet don’t abuse it!

  • Growing and consuming my own veggies and fruits! It reduces the need plastics and even going to the shops when my little one has demolished all the fruit!

  • Less wastage .consume wisely .

  • I try to live without waste and use bicarb of soda & vinegar for all my cleaning. We reuse everything we can or use hand me downs.

  • try to grow your own herbs and veg. most veg can be regrown if you snip off the bottom of them or the roots and plant them. tomatoe seeds squished into the earth is another tip. i do all of these.

  • Composting! We eat mainly fruit and vegetables so always have a lot to compost. We also take our squishy plastic to the Redcycle bin at Coles and our local kindy loves the egg cartons, milk bottles, strawberry punnets etc so we have very little going to landfill each week.

  • My favourite tip is to live by the motto reduce re-use and recycle! Composting all of our scraps and re purposing items to reduce our contribution to landfill! Here’s to the planet for our future generations.

  • Living a greener life, buying eco friendly products and creating a more sustainable home.

  • I believe in the power of one!
If parents model a sustainable lifestyle including composting, growing vegetables, limiting waste, respecting the environment…. the list goes on, this positive example with have a ripple effect through the generations, one individual at a time.

  • Recycle as much as you can and compost. Re-use anything that is possible and use as many natural products that you can find.

  • Buy in bulk non perishable items

  • Have chickens and pigs and vegetables gardens so put coffee and tea bag and recycle all drink bottles
