  • I remember going on a plane to visit my nan in Queensland during school holidays. I felt like a big girl flying up without any other family members with me whilst I was in primary school.

  • The Melbourne Zoo as the kids were so exited to see all the different animals. lt was such a wonderful learning experience for them to. Butterfly house was totally amazing . Fantastic quality time spend as a family too .

  • My mum took my three young brothers and I to the Royal Easter Show about 45 years ago. I’ll always remember the excitement and thrill of it all! We’d never done anything like this before, and never did again, as she always struggled to make ends meet.

  • Camping with my kids brother and niece’s

  • Years ago when I was a little kid I remember my sister and I saving up for the cabbage patch kids and not having much luck and trying to do extra jobs in the school holidays to try and save faster. One day through the holidays our dad presented us with two brand new cabbage patch kids. $100 worth of dolls. It was such a lot of money for him to come up with and saved us many more school holidays of saving up.

  • Playing with my cousins, going to the river to catch tadpoles and enjoying delicious treats!

  • getting to spend many days just hanging out and having fun as we don’t get to take holidays due to my husband working in hospitality

  • Just being at home with my family, that is all I ever looked forward to was when we were all together

  • The ultimate step slid in the fun house. I remembered I have the intention to slide down but whilst looking down I chickened out. The next thing I know the queue behind me was so long and everyone were giving me dirty looks….

  • Going down the south coast yearly with my family, for a week. It was the only holiday we had. The weekend was the best part as dad came for 2 days – he never got time off otherwise.

  • I loved ferry rides. Made it even more special that we ended up at Luna park or the beac but the ferry ride was the best part!!

  • Hot feet on burning sand. Salt on drying skin. The thump of the surf. The sound of cicadas. Soft laughter from over fences. Pine-lime Splices, chocolate milkshakes in frosted steel containers, fish and chips wrapped up in newspapers and mixed lollies from the milk bar.
